FIRESTONE TIRE

Firestone Tires began in 1895 when Henry Ford contacted Harvey Firestone to find a good set of tires for the automobile that he was building. Firestone found that pneumatic tires would be a good match for a vehicle as heavy as the automobile Ford was building and it worked to the point where Firestone Tires began their business. The original factory was created in Akron , Ohio and began manufacturing tires with twelve employees. In the 1980's Firestone merged with Bridgestone Tires
